Article Of The Day

Some great news here again at ArticleMotron. We have started an Article Of The Day promotion service at http://articlemotron.wordpress.com. Currently a popular article is chosen by the staff on a daily basis and is posted here. There is a slightly higher criteria for articles posted here. We haven't worked out all the details yet, but basically it must be well written, a decent length and must offer something new to the topic it is written about.

The goal with the Article Of The Day is to help promote authors who submit exceptional material to the directory. This is the first of many programs we have in the works here at ArticleMotron to help make this the best article directory there is.

Recreation and Camping Categories Added

We've had a few requests for some new categories so we've added two more, Recreation and Camping. I fancy myself a bit of a camper myself so I'm happy to see this well sought after category here on the ArticleMotron article directory. Thanks again everyone for all of your support in making this a popular spot for ezine and article content. Take care and happy camping!

Spam-less Article Directory

Could it be? Yep that's right, no spam from this article directory. Our only goals here at ArticleMotron are to provide authors a place to publish their material and webmasters a place to get quality material for their sites.

We get emails all the time for some of the other article directories out there trying to sell some piece of software or some other gimmick. We choose not to spam our members, but rather to spend that time and energy in making ArticleMotron a better site. Quick approval times for all our members is a great example of this.

Don't get me wrong, opt in newsletters are one thing, spam is something completely different. There are quite a few newsletters I subscribe to that I couldn't do without. Not all are from an article directory of course, but they are informative and satisfy a need and are not simply trying to sell something.

Starting to rant a bit here so I'm going to wrap it up. Thanks again to all of our members, we wouldn't be here without you. And rest assured, no spam from ArticleMotron.com.

New Theme for the Forum

Spent a little time sprucing up the forum here on ArticleMotron, I thought it was a little bland before. I still have a few things to do but phpBB makes it fun and easy to make changes. Anyway, let me know what you think!

Time for a New Delete Key...

Wow, talk about a lot of submissions! It's been quite busy around here the last few weeks. We plan on adding another full time editor in the next week or so to help keep up with the submissions.

There's only one problem with all of this. A good 30% of the articles submitted don't meet our guidelines and are either rejected or deleted. That's a lot! Some of the biggest errors are article size and category choice. Catgeory choice is obviously from the auto-submitters, which we don't mind, just choose a good one that lets you match categories.

We try not to be the same old article directory here at ArticleMotron. Our goal is to have quality articles in a broad list of categories. This way the webmasters who use our service are getting the best content they can find, while our authors stand a better chance of their material being picked up.

So, if your article was declined, please take the criticism as it was meant, constructively. If you have any questions about your specific articles, or article writing in general, please post them in our forum. Thanks and take care!
