The chat master in a bingo room is the person that monitors the room that players are playing bingo. While there is no written rule that you must respect the chat master, it is certainly an unwritten rule. The reason why is it such a key unwritten rules is for a number of reasons. The first reason is due to the fact that it is the polite thing to do! It is really common courtesy in general to be polite and respectful. Another reason is that chat master has a difficult job as it is, and it isn't right to make their job any harder than it already is.
While those unwritten rules are very important, there are many other unwritten rules that need to be followed. One of the most important unwritten rules is that using capital letters in the chat room is not supposed to be done. The unwritten rules state that only the chat masters can use capital letters. The only time that capital letters can be used by the player is when the chat master gives permission for a player to use them. As most people can see, knowing and following the unwritten online rules can and usually does help the player, the other players in the bingo room, and the chat master make the online bingo experience go better.
