After talking to so many people who own Free to Air satellite receivers, I have come to the conclusion that they must all be good otherwise they would not be so popular. Most Free to Air receivers come with blind scanning which is something that both my family and friends recommended that I should get. Different models of Nfusion, Pansat, Sonicview, and Viewsat receivers come with a blind scanning feature to help you to find all the channels easily. As I am fairly new to Free to Air technology, it would definitely be a good idea for me to buy a receiver with blind scanning as an option.
There are a lot of different features available with many of the Free to Air receivers on today’s market. Sonicview, Pansat, Nfusion and Viewsat all sport varying processing speeds, recording facilities, memory, designs and accessories. When you choose a Free to Air receiver, you will have to decide what it is that you want out of it. Do you need it to record programs or just to watch FTA programs? With the amount of people I have spoken to regarding FTA receivers, I know that I will be happy with Nfusion, Viewsat, Sonicview or Pansat FTA receivers. Now it is just a case of deciding which one!

Free to air television Free to air television is broadcasted through satellites and is generally received via any sort of suitable Free to Air (FTA) Receivers. Latest versions of these FTA receivers are designed to receive digital television which is basically MPEG-2/DVB-S and HDTV whereas other older FTA receivers relied on analog satellite signals which is going obsolete day by day. Even though FTA is called free, but the viewer does actually pay for the channels. FTA is sometimes delivered by satellite television, but in various parts of the world free-to-air television channels are broadcast unencrypted on UHF or VHF bands In the United States of America, there are various popular brands of FTA receivers which are compliant with the latest technologies in broadcast; some of these are Sonicview, Pansat, Viewsat and Nfusion.
