act fairly fast.
Benzodiazepines are taken as needed when anxiety is heightened or a panic attack
occurs. Antidepressants are taken daily. Antipsychotics can be used for an
anxiety attack or taken on schedule to prevent anxiety. Cognitive behavioural
therapy is the best know treatment for anxiety disorders. It challenges the
irrational thoughts of the person. It teaches them to stop the thought process
before their anxiety takes hold.
There are various causes for anxiety including trauma, chemical imbalances and
a genetic predisposition to name a few. There are also different anxiety
disorders but they all have the common theme of irrational fear. Treatment
for anxiety can be very effective. You do not have to live a life a fear.
With treatment the person can enhance the quality of their life. There are
effective treatments for anxiety so the person will not have to live in fear.
