After renaming the company to reflect the diversity of services and extending the working areas RST Engineering have made the latest acquisitions and installations in machinery. The acquisition and installation of two CNC Spark Eroders have improved productivity levels allowing lights-out production and improved accuracy. These machines allow both prototype and production work. New and innovative projects are expertly managed to the highest tolerances along with repeat production processes.
Improved machinery not only benefits RST Engineering but also achieves a cost benefit for the customer. The Hurco Mill and Vero Software a new VM2 Machining Centre with Nikkon 4th axis and 20 Station tool changer allows un-manned and lights out machining. Vero software is cutting edge and allows complex models to be imported and fully machined. Unmanned and lights out machining improves productivity, cuts costs and these can be passed on to the customer where appropriate.
RST purchased the Faro Gage Plus CMM enabling full inspection of 3D parts. In depth inspection reports are produced with ease. Reverse engineering is allowed ensuring that RST Engineering can produce exact replicas of sample parts. Highly skilled engineers and quality control measures carefully manage all projects.
Again achieving significant cost benefits for customers is the recent acquisition and installation of a CNC Hole Driller. 16 station electrode changer which again allows un-manned and lights-out machining.
With this recent investment in machinery and technology RST Engineering fufill highly skilled engineering projects for the medical, automotive, racing and aerospace/defence industries.
An international aerospace, defence and electronics organisation that design, manufacture, test and install aircraft environment control systems commissioned RST to manufacture a variety of brackets for the SAAB JAS 39 Gripen. Due to RST’s investment in the latest wire EDM technology, they were able to offset the material costs with operating efficiency and achieved quality production, on time, to budget with precision as standard.
